Follow Me When the Sun Goes Down, the fifth book in the Forged Bloodlines series picks up seamlessly where the last one left off, with Anja freaking out over her appointment as Elder. It turns out the vampire council appreciates a candidate with the guts to take charge of the West and Anja sallies forth with her entourage (sans Maggie, sadly but understandably) to England for the Gathering.

There are some fun new characters in this one, from Macallister James, the cocky cowboy representing the sovereign nation of Texas, to the dizzying pair of seamstresses, weaving their magic to get Cinderella ready for the ball, and the wide assortment of delegates from the various vampire houses. Author Lisa Olsen excels at bringing a little something extra to these comedic vignettes in an otherwise dramatic storyline. We also finally get to meet Bishop's estranged brother Aubrey and learn the history between them and what happened to Carys. And can I just say - I wanted to stake Angel myself several times, and I never in a million years would have thought of Anja's unique brand of punishment for the b.i.t.c.h.

There are subplots a go-go in this one, and plenty of reasons for Rob to blow his cool and stake a protective claim over Anja. The twist at the end threw me for a loop and I can't wait for the gôu pì to hit the fan in the next one as Anja's secrets are revealed for the world to see.

Yay! More, please!

I confess, I had my doubts when I met Anja Evans in the first book of the Forged Bloodline series. She was naive and struggling and out of control--and now I see that that was the point. By the time we get to this, the fifth book, she's got herself under control, not to mention most of the West.

Follow Me is a tightly written, smooth, and ever so tasty read. Themes and characters develop at a good clip. Romances tangle in new and interesting ways. Anja continues to grow, and we get even more insight into the various characters while the plot dances along. (One gets good close-ups of Bishop's clay feet, and meets nasty new villains.) And yet, the author remembers to bring in past acquaintances in a meaningful fashion. And then there are the trials: You have to test and sometimes torture your figments to see what they're made of, and Lisa does a bang-up job without losing our trust in her as author. This book does not disappoint.

By now, I want to have Anja on speed dial. She's a modern woman who is dealing very well with faking it 'til you make it in a very scary community. Yeah, as Rob, her faithful Guy Friday says, she's got this one. Her voice comes through very clearly, with humor and real-grrl wit.

I sure hope that Lisa wants to keep this series going! Bravo!

keeps getting better!

This series is the absolute best! If ever a series I never want to end, this would be it. The storytelling, character development, everything is just masterfully written by Lisa Olsen. Thank you for continuing to write, even though I lose lots of sleep and I am zombie the day after reading all night, it is always worth it.

Anja is one of my favorite characters, sure she annoys me sometimes (just grab rob and kiss him yourself girl!) but that is the sign of a great character. She's not a real person yet she has me pulling for her as if she was.
I can't wait for the next book!!

Holy Crap! Starts slow but Ends Like A Bomb

I can't write a long review of this book because it really is just the continuing story of Anja and her life as a vampire, she takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

She is now the Elder of the West through almost misadventures and she still has some grievances to settle. I should say this is the best book of the series but I probably felt that way about the last book and the one before that one.

If you love cheering for the underdog, love unexpected surprises this is the book, you get a ton of romance and frustration in Anja's love life but she is a one of a kind heroine.

5 Stars and I am hoping she writes the next one soon as she did this one, it was beyond great.

NOTE: This is one of those gushing reviews I hate to see people write but it is late, I am tired but I had to finish this book, no way I could sleep until I was done. It really was that good. I went back and reread the last 20 pages a second time, I can count on 1 hand the number of times I have done that.

Hard to read, difficult to find relevant information

This is the first "textbook" that I have ever bought for Kindle. I had hoped that this book would contain a sumamry of the strengths and weaknesses of financial statement analysis as well as some of the common formulae. It was difficult to use on the kindle, but still not the sort of book it purports to be. It is most definitely not a summary of Fridson's Financial Statement Analysis Book. This is just a book of definitions, and some practice tests at the end of each summary. Do not waste your money. You can look them up on google.

It was sizzling erotic romance that I didn't put down until the end and I can hardly wait for book two. This is a quick read that has well developed characters.

Beth has lusted after Luke and Zach for weeks and when they come together it's intense, explosive and oh so hot. Beth accepts the situation remarkably well, almost too well to be believable, but I prefer that to over wasting time with that in a novella.

The reason behind the bonding and what they will have to face is gripping and fresh. This is my first read by Tracy Cooper-Posey and was pleased to get a well written and thought out story. I'll be reading more of her work, especially the next two books expected in the Destiny's Trinity series.

The first book in the Destiny's Trinities series is a fast, steamy read that leaves the reader breathless and wanting more.

Beth is a college student working two jobs when she meets two very different men, one at each job and finds herself strongly attracted to both. Lindal is an elf and Zach is a vampire, both have been called to Beth and fate has set things in motion when the three start to bond.

The chemistry between the Beth and her two men is red hot and the author paints such a vivid picture of the sex scenes and menage elements that send tingles down the reader's body. The emotions and confusion of the three are conveyed with depth that the reader can relate to, drawing them deeper into the story.
The plot flows smoothly from scene to scene and the suspense builds as the three try to understand what fate has in store for them and what the creatures that attacked Beth are.

I have read other books by this author and like those I enjoyed this one. The story is a good foundation for the series, but I think it could have been great if the author had made it a little longer and given us a bit more information. Although I could be jumping the gun and she plans to work the information into future books in the series.

This was the first book I read from this author and it had me hooked from the first page! I'm a massive fantasy reader and I've never come a cross a storyline like this! It's so fresh and original! I could not put it down!!!...I mean who has ever written about a vampire, a elf and a human all having hot blistering sex.. That turns into love..and the reason they've all fallen together is to fight an enemy so powerful that it could wipe out all three of their civilisations!t the Grimore.. The dark shadow that swallows the land! And in particular the vampeen beasts that they must destroy!
For weeks Beth had been lusting after Zachariah... And then there's the blue eyed Luke who has starred in some of her most erotic dreams!
All three end up bonding together after....the guys save her from being attacked on the way home from work..... And she finds out that they're not human but In fact an Elvish Prince and a Vampire who traditionally are enemies to each other!
But with the bonding they all love each other fiercely ..
This is the beginning of the Destinys Trinities Series, and they should be read in order..
