Yummy and Funny

I simply couldn't wait to see what would happen next in the plot, and I copied and collected most of the chocolate recipes. I loved the fact that I was not forced to skip over sections of R-rated language or action; I could just happily read and relax. That's a tribute in today's book world. Tina

Good at the beginning and end. lumpy in between

The book has some great concepts. Weaving in the recipes seemed original. Recounting/remembering personal history was well done. The ending was nicely done. Maybe a little cliche, but that is what romance novels do.
Weaving in so many characters made it hard to follow and distracted from the storyline. The interaction with the church was also difficult to understand. I should have done internet research to understand the religion prior to reading. Maybe the author assumes some fore knowledge?
The leading ladies personality was inconsistent. Self assured and confident, then not so much. Big jumps in time between events with limited impact on the story line
What should have been an interesting read felt more like a chore. Some may like the style, it didn't work for me.

A refreshing, fun read!

I enjoyed this book! It was the perfect escape to spend a rainy day while curled up in my recliner :) And it's always so nice to read a book that doesn't use vulgarities as well. I highly recommend it! The chocolate recipes will surely have to be explored...
