There is more than one story line going on in this book. The main being that of guns lost and a crime boss seeking payment in either cash, goods or blood, there is the care of a child between two divorced parents and the on going story of the romance between Rafe Valez and his girlfriend Jean. Rafe is beginning to question his ethics. You may hate or love Rafe Valez, but you will never be indifferent. You are never bored with one of AB Stonebridge's novellas. As always I wish they were longer only because I want to no more of Refe Valez and his cases.
This is the third installment in the Rafe Valez Mystery Series, but can be read as a stand alone easily. The reason you hurry back for the others in the series is that you will want to know more about the characters mentioned in the book. These novellas may be short, but they are complete and not rushed. They remind me of the Elery Queen stories I read when I was younger. I hope you come to love this series as much as I do. Enjoy and thank you to AB Stonebridge for sharing your talent with us.

Another hit!

Mr. Stonebridge, other than being named after a set of tires, is rapidly proving himself to be a very good author.
In book 3, Rafe is at his sarcastic best when he ends up in a touchy relationship with the "big bad guy" in town.
Throw in a new bride and a honeymoon and you've got all the ingredients for a classic Rafe Velez tale.
I recommend this book highly. It doesn't disappoint, is very readable, and is highly entertaining.
Grab this book. You won't be sorry!
